Boat people, first

MarineXpert Detailing exists for one reason: boats in Mauritius deserve the same standard of care as the best-kept yachts anywhere in the world.

Who we are

Premium care.
Lasting protection.

We started MarineXpert because we kept seeing the same thing around the island: beautiful boats slowly losing their shine to sun, salt and busy schedules. Detailing here meant a bucket and a hose — nobody was bringing professional machine polishing, marine-grade chemistry and ceramic technology to the boat.

So that's what we built. A fully mobile detailing team, trained on gel coat and modern finishes, that treats a 6-metre fishing boat with the same respect as a flybridge yacht. Trusted by boat owners across Mauritius — and soon in Réunion.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a full detail take?

Most boats between 6 and 9 metres take a full day. Larger boats, catamarans or heavily oxidised hulls can take two. You get an exact time estimate with your free assessment.

Do you come to my boat?

Yes — we are fully mobile. Marina berth, mooring, private jetty, dry stack or your driveway: our team arrives with the equipment and products needed for the job, anywhere in Mauritius.

Do you work on boats on trailers or in dry stack?

Absolutely. On-trailer and dry-stack detailing is often the most convenient way to work — full access to the hull for polishing and coating.

How long does ceramic coating last?

Marine ceramic coatings typically protect for two to five years depending on the product, sun exposure and washdown routine. A simple maintenance schedule keeps it performing at its best for longer.

Is it safe for gel coat and vinyl wraps?

Yes. We use pH-neutral chemistry and measured machine polishing designed for marine gel coat, and wrap-safe products and techniques on vinyl-wrapped hulls.

How often should I detail my boat in Mauritius’ climate?

Tropical UV and salt are relentless. We recommend a full detail once or twice a year, with regular washdowns in between — monthly for moored boats. Ceramic-coated hulls need far less correction over time.

Do you service catamarans and yachts?

Yes — from 6-metre pirogues and fishing boats to catamarans and flybridge yachts. Pricing is based on size and condition, confirmed after the free assessment.

Do you serve Réunion Island?

Not yet — Réunion is next on our chart. Leave your email in the “Notify me” form and you’ll be the first to know when we launch.
